Where has the time gone? Almost 4 years since my step into the unknown world of local politics to represent the Kewhurst residents within Rother District Council. I believe I have done what I set out to do and have upheld the trust of those who voted for me. I am proud of what I and the other Independent Councillors on Rother District Council have delivered. Without the people of Bexhill in 2019 voting for change, we would have had another 4 years of the ‘same old, same old’.

All Bexhill residents rely on Rother District Council for some key services including waste collection. Many of the services ‘we’ provide are not obvious, but the improvements we have made in our planning department, the provision of temporary accommodation and our efforts to prevent homelessness are very positive.

Our achievements are fully listed elsewhere but after losing 2 years of ‘normal’ operations due to the pandemic, we have unfinished business, and I would like to help finish what we started.

Recent increases in the cost of living mean that we still cannot go full speed ahead and we must continue to ensure that everything we do represents good value for money. Please vote for me in ’23. Thank you, Brian Drayson
